2. The personal data we collect
Information you give us
If you join the Stockd Up waitlist, we collect the email address you submit, so we can let you know when the app launches. You provide this voluntarily.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records limited technical data when you visit — for example your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view — in server logs used to keep the site secure and running. We do not use this data to identify you personally.
Fonts and third-party content
This website loads typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these fonts, your IP address is shared with Google as part of delivering them. See Google's privacy policy for details.
3. How we use your data, and our legal basis
- To contact you about Stockd Up — where you have joined the waitlist. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To operate, secure and improve the website — including keeping it available and preventing misuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in running a safe, functional website.
- To comply with the law — where we are required to retain or disclose information. Legal basis: legal obligation.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal data to anyone.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the website, and only as needed:
- Our website hosting provider, which stores the site and processes server logs.
- Our email or form provider, if used to receive and manage waitlist sign-ups on our behalf.
- Google Fonts, as described above.
These providers act as our processors and may only use the data to provide their service to us. We may also disclose data where required by law.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law (such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses) to keep your data protected.
6. How long we keep it
We keep waitlist email addresses until the Stockd Up launch communications are complete, or until you ask us to remove you — whichever is sooner. Technical server logs are kept only for a short period for security and troubleshooting.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct it; ask us to delete it; object to or restrict how we use it; withdraw consent at any time; and receive a copy of the data you gave us in a portable format.
To exercise any of these, email lez@novarodigitallabs.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we'd appreciate the chance to help first.
8. Cookies
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and does not run third-party analytics. If this changes in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
9. Children
This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be made clear on this page.
